Identify Session
POST/authentication/identify
Create or retrieve an audience device session for the given email and device ID. If the audience member does not exist, they will be created. Always returns an unauthenticated session JWT, even if the device was previously authenticated. A device already identified as a different member is moved to the member for the given email.
Optional attributes are stored against the member, keyed by user attribute
slug. Because identify is unauthenticated, a value is only written when the
member has no value for that attribute yet; existing values are never
overwritten. Every slug must be a defined, member-editable attribute and every
value must pass its type and rules, or the request fails before the member is
created: a 404 USER_ATTRIBUTE_NOT_FOUND, a 403 USER_ATTRIBUTE_NOT_EDITABLE,
or a 422 with errors keyed attributes.<slug>.
