Emergency Banner

The emergency banner is a full-width strip shown at the top of every tenant and landlord dashboard — useful for announcing an incident or scheduled maintenance. It is platform-wide: one message, read the same everywhere. It appears only in the dashboard, never on a reader-facing site.

Only super admins can set it. From the Allegro Admin, open Settings → Banner:

FieldWhat it does
EnabledTurns the banner on or off. A message is required while it is on.
MessageThe text shown in the banner (up to 300 characters).
Details linkAn optional http or https URL. When set, the banner shows a View details link that opens in a new tab.

Changes apply immediately across the whole installation — no deploy or cache-clear. Each person can dismiss the banner, and it stays hidden for them until the message or link changes, at which point it reappears.

The on/off state is the Emergency banner platform feature flag; see Feature Flags for how platform-wide flags work.
