Exports

Allegro can export large lists — your purchases, your audience members, and the members of a segment — as CSV files. Exports are generated in the background, so you can start one and keep working: when the file is ready, Allegro emails you a download link and the export appears on the Exports page, ready to download.

To see your exports, go to Exports in the main navigation.

Starting an export

You start an export from the page whose data you want:

ExportWhere to start it
PurchasesThe Export button on the Purchases page.
Audience membersThe Export button on the Audience page.
Segment membersExport CSV on a segment, on the Segments page or in the segment editor.

Purchase and audience-member exports reflect the filters and search active on that page when you click Export — so to export a subset, narrow the list first, then export. The whole matching set is included, not just the page you are viewing. A segment export includes every member of the segment as last saved.

After you click Export, Allegro confirms that the export is being generated and that it will email you a link when it's ready. You don't need to stay on the page.

How many exports you can start

To keep the queue healthy, you can start up to three exports per minute. If you go over, Allegro asks you to wait a few seconds before trying again.

The Exports page

The Exports page lists every export across your organization, most recent first, and refreshes on its own while any export is still being generated. Each row shows:

ColumnDescription
TypeWhat was exported — Purchases, Audience members, or Segment members with the segment's name.
StatusWhere the export is in its lifecycle (see below).
Requested byThe admin who started the export.
RowsThe number of records in the file, once it has finished.
SizeThe size of the generated file.
CreatedWhen the export was started.
DownloadA Download button, shown only while the file is available.

Statuses

StatusMeaning
PendingThe export is queued and waiting to start.
ProcessingAllegro is building the file.
CompletedThe file is ready to download.
FailedSomething went wrong while generating the file. Start a new export.
ExpiredThe file was completed but has passed its download window (see below).

Downloading and retention

When an export completes, Allegro emails the admin who started it a link to the file, and a Download button appears on the export's row. Each file stays available for 7 days after it was created. After that the export is marked Expired, the file is removed, and the Download button no longer appears — start a new export to get a fresh copy.

Exports are standard CSV files you can open in any spreadsheet.

Purchase columns

For the exact columns in a purchases export, see Purchases.

Audience member columns

An audience-member export is named audience-members-YYYY-MM-DD.csv and starts with these columns:

ColumnDescription
Member IDThe member's unique ID.
NameThe member's display name, or blank if none is set.
EmailThe member's email address.
Email VerifiedYes or No.
Created AtWhen the member was first created (ISO 8601).
Last Active AtWhen the member last generated an event, or blank if never.
Active ProductsNames of the products the member currently has an active entitlement to, comma-separated.
Active Product SlugsThe same products by slug, comma-separated.
Active EntitlementsThe number of active entitlements the member holds.
Entitlement Expires AtThe soonest expiry among the member's active entitlements, or blank when they never expire.
Login ProvidersThe login providers the member has connected (for example apple, google), comma-separated.
Completed PurchasesThe number of completed purchases.
Lifetime ValueThe total of all completed purchases as a plain decimal (for example 40.00).

Last Purchase AtWhen the member's most recent completed purchase was made, or blank if none.
PropertiesNames of the properties the member has signed in on, comma-separated.
Property SlugsThe same properties by slug, comma-separated.

After these fixed columns, the file adds one column per user attribute your organization has defined, ordered by attribute name. Each cell holds that member's value for the attribute (a boolean attribute reads Yes or No), and is left blank when the member has no value.

Segment member columns

A segment export is named segment-{segment-name}-YYYY-MM-DD.csv and has one row per member of the segment, with these columns:

ColumnDescription
audience_member_idThe member's unique ID.

signed_up_atWhen the member signed up.
