Report
The report shows how an Automatic targeting interaction has actually performed: how many pages it ran on, how that splits across your journeys, and how it trends day by day. Where Potential Reach projects who a journey would match while you edit, the report counts what really happened.
The report is available only for a saved, Automatic targeting interaction and requires the analytics service. A Manual embed interaction has no journeys to report on, so it has no report. Anyone who can view the interaction can open its report, including viewers.
Opening the Report
- From the interaction's edit page, choose View report in the ⋯ menu. The entry appears once the interaction is saved and in Automatic targeting mode.
- From the Journeys builder, click the activity pill on any journey header — it reads, for example, 1.2K runs · 30d and opens the full report. Its tooltip summarizes recent activity ("Ran on N pages for N visitors in the last N days. Picked on N pages.") with a small trend line.
Choosing a Window
A window switcher in the report header covers the last 7, 30, or 90 days. The window defaults to 30 days and applies to every number and download on the page.
Reading the Report
Two words run through the whole report:
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Picked | Targeting chose a journey on the page view. |
| Ran | That journey's actions went on to run on the page view. |
A page can be picked without the actions running — for example, a one-per-visit frequency cap or a meter that hasn't been reached yet keeps the actions from firing even though targeting selected the journey.
Totals
Three figures summarize the window:
| Stat | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Pages it ran on | Pages where the interaction's actions ran. |
| Pages picked | Pages where targeting chose any journey. |
| Run rate | Ran ÷ picked, as a percentage. |
Daily activity
A chart plots Picked and Ran for each day in the window, so you can see launches, spikes, and quiet stretches at a glance. Days are counted in your organization's timezone.
By journey
A table breaks the window down one row per journey — including Everyone else — with Picked, Ran, Run rate, and Visitors columns. A journey removed since it last ran still appears, labeled Deleted journey, so its past activity isn't lost.
Visitors counts distinct visitors on pages where the journey ran. A visitor who saw more than one journey over the window is counted under each, so the journey visitor counts can add up to more than the interaction's total.
Downloads
- Download CSV exports one row per day and journey for the selected window, with a short header naming the interaction, window, and generation time.
- Download PDF opens your browser's print dialog on a print-ready copy of the report; choose Save as PDF (or print) from there.
If the analytics service doesn't answer, the report shows a short "results are unavailable right now" message in place of the numbers and fills in once the service responds. The CSV notes the same when results are unavailable.
